Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) compliance in the European banking sector

Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) compliance has now become a priority for all Europe Union banks for the 2023–2025 supervisory cycle. This stems from the European Central Bank (ECB) developing renewed guidelines for BCBS 239 compliance in the banking sector, following their concerns over continued RDARR framework and practice shortcomings.

Progress to improve data aggregation capabilities and internal risk reporting practices has been slow and – complicated by the scope of such a project (which involves various stakeholders, functions, processes and business units) as well as poor assignment of roles and responsibilities.

Join Monocle and The Banking 50 as we host a round-table discussion with specialist banking stakeholders to discuss:

  • Why is BCBS 239 compliance so elusive? – The inherent challenges of BCBS 239 and past experiences with RDARR compliance.
  • The seven areas of concern identified by the ECB for improving data aggregation and risk reporting.
  • The best ways to approach a RDARR compliance program and manage the significant scope of such an endeavour; and
  • The expanded scope of risk and financial reporting, and the implications for BCBS 239 compliance.
